Our self catering static caravan is on a working hill farm near to the village of Melvich. We are one mile from the main road and it is a quiet peaceful spot.
The caravan is comfortable and clean with two bedrooms, not huge but again comfortable and warm. All beds are made up and towels are provided and there are toiletries in bathroom.
The kitchen has everything required for cooking with a gas cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle. T-towels, washing liquid and oven gloves are included.
The sitting area has a TV with DVD player and there is a selection of DVDs as well as some books about the area and it’s history. A washing machine available free of charge in a small utility room next to the caravan, and a sitting area outside with table and chairs.
Electricity is pay as you go with a meter in the utility room beside the washing machine which takes £2 coins.
There is safe and secure parking for bikes, but unfortunately dogs are not allowed for caravan guests.
There are extensive farm tracks for walking or mountain biking which is part of the countryside no one else sees, and trout fishing can also be arranged on request.
There is a reception cabin which is always open to our guests with display boards telling you all about the farm, local history and the environment. There are home produced burgers, sausages, steaks etc should you fancy a barbecue and various other bits and pieces for sale.

We are two miles from the lovely long sandy beach in Melvich which is quite popular for surfing and three miles from Puffin Cove which has the largest puffin colony in Briain.
There is a bar and bistro a mile away at the Halladale Inn where you can get food and drink but booking in advance is essential (01641 531282).

We rented the caravan for a week. It was warm, comfortable, and is in such a lovely area with so much to see and do. Absolutely lovely. We can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back!
