At kirkton holidays we offer a unique stay for motor homes or caravans on a family run farm with only two pitches with electric hook ups and plenty of space on a well maintained, clean, gravel site.
We are a mile off the main road and so are in a quiet secluded spot with lovely views looking over the valley.
When the weather suits enjoy your meals on the outdoor tables provided. There is extensive farm tracks for walking or mountain biking where you are almost guaranteed to meet nobody. This is part of the countryside no one else sees.
Trout fishing can also be arranged on request.
Our reception cabin which is always open to our guests with display boards telling you all about the farm, local history and environment. There is home produced burgers, sausages, steaks etc, if you fancy a barbecue and various other bits and pieces for sale.
A farm buggy tour can also be arranged (see farm buggy tour on website) if you would like to see more of the landscape and our animals.
We are only two miles from the lovely long sandy beach in Melvich which is quite popular for surfing and we are approx three miles from Puffin Cove which has the largest puffin colony in Britain.
If you click on the "The area" link at the top of the page, you will find a large number of tourist attractions within a forty mile radius.
There is a bar and bistro around a mile away at the Halladale Inn where you can get food and a drink but booking is essential (01641 531282).
Dogs are always welcome here but must be kept under control and kept on a lead at all times if going for a walk.
We have no toilets or waste facilities on site which is reflected in the price we charge. There is a caravan site (North Coast Touring Park) which is just over a mile away where you can empty your waste for a fee. This site is closed for some months in the winter when no waste facilities are available locally.
Water and bottled water is available on site. Swing ball and knots and crosses are on site for guests.

We did the tour with our two children and we had an amazing time. It was great to learn about the farm, animals and local history. Willie was an amazing host. It was great to get up close and personal with the animals. We stayed in our motor home on site. It was immaculate. We bought a few items including burgers and sausages which are from their own cattle. I have to say they tasted amazing. I would not hesitate to recommended the tour or a stay at the farm.
